THE REEL FACTS IN THE SHADOW OF GENOCIDE ALLEGATIONS: APPLICATIONS FOR RELOCATION AND RESETTLEMENT IN THE LIGHT OF THE OTTOMAN AND AMERICAN DOCUMENTS (1915-1917)

 

The conference, entitled “The Reel Facts in the Shadow of Genocide Allegations: Applications for Relocation and Resettlement in the Light of the Ottoman and American Documents (1915-1917)” has been held at Gure Campus Social Facilities Conference Hall on 12th May 2015 at 14.00 by Black Sea Center for Strategic Researches (BLACKCSR) and Giresun University Turkic World Research Community with participation of Dr. Mevlüt YÜKSEL from Atatürk University Turkish – Armenian Relations Research Center, as lecturer.

In the opening speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yalçın SARIKAYA, the director of Black Sea Center for Strategic Research (BLACKCSR), was indicative of where the Armenian allegations in 2015. After the opening speech Dr. Mevlüt YÜKSEL conveyed his research notes about the Armenian issue. Dr. YUKSEL who was indicated that contrary to what is believed, Armenian issue has been based on 1878 Berlin Treaty not 1915 stated that an internal affair of Ottoman Empire became an international dimension with this treaty. Dr. Mevlut Yuksel who said that from the past to the present process, especially after the 1960, Armenia have made great attempts about the Armenian issue to use against Turkey in the international arena, indicated that in not taking adequate measures in this regard was a ball and chain for our country.

At the end of the conference, Prof. Dr. Selçuk DUMAN, the Dean of the Faculty of Economic and Administrative Sciences, presented thank you plague to Dr. Mevlüt YÜKSEL who shared of the results of his research that was gone over with a fine-tooth comb in this field with our students.
